Kim Sullivan, University of Minnesota Extension Service-Master Gardener Program-Anoka County
We will look at why weeds succeed and how to fend them off -- using mostly natural products with some minimal-use chemical treatment options.
Kim Sullivan has been a Master Gardener since 2002 with special interests in sustainable lawn and tree care and salad table gardens. She worked for the University of Minnesota for two years as a research assistant studying organic weed control, and enjoys translating technical research into user-friendly information.

Abi Zechmeister, Color Program Supervisor, The Sherwin Williams Company
If you’re ready to update your home, you don’t want to miss this session. Abi Zechmeister, Color Program Supervisor with Sherwin Williams, will review 2016 color trends, highlighting the colors in four uniquely themed collections. She will visually show the colors/collections and discuss how you can incorporate trend colors into your existing furnishings and decor. The session also will include color/sheen suggestions for different areas, things to consider when selecting colors, etc. Bring in your decorating ideas and discuss them with an expert!
Abi Zechmeister has worked with Sherwin Williams Design Team since 2008. She has explored many varied areas of Interior Design including Fabric Show Rooms, Furniture, and Paint. Color has always been a driver for her and her design! Color impacts us every single day, and it's an emotional journey that at times can be difficult, but it has been her career goal to help take that stress away and make color fun again!

Jessica Bromelkamp, Rice Creek Watershed District; Michele Ross and Tammy Schmitz, Mississippi Watershed Management Organization
Presenters will discuss a variety of personal actions, landscape options, and other steps to creating a beautiful yard that is healthier for you, for creatures we enjoy and for the water we drink.
Jessica Bromelkamp has extensive experience developing and implementing action-oriented environmental programs for youth, educators, and the general public to protect our water resources.
Michele Ross has worked with state and local governments to provide program and project management for natural resource protection and currently coordinates water quality trainings and activities.
Tammy Schmitz has provided communications services for local government, non-profits and schools and now shares resources to build community relationships that protect water.
